CryoPen
With AnnaHow it works
How CryoPen works
CryoPen delivers a fine, high-pressure jet of nitrous oxide precisely onto the lesion. The extreme cold freezes the water in the cells, which breaks them down, and the lesion naturally falls away as the skin heals.
Targets only the lesion
The surrounding healthy skin is left alone.
A few minutes per lesion
Treatment itself is usually over in minutes.
Minimal discomfort
Most people find it quick and easy to tolerate.
No cutting or stitches
Lower risk of scarring and infection than surgical removal.
Back to your day
You can return to normal activities straight away.

FAQs
Removal questions, answered
Can’t see your question? Ask Anna at your appointment, or get in touch.
What can be treated?
Skin tags, warts and other minor skin lesions. Moles can also be treated, but only after dermatologist review through our mole screening. Anna checks every lesion at your consultation to make sure cryotherapy is suitable.
Does it hurt?
Discomfort is minimal, and treatment usually takes just a few minutes per lesion.
How many sessions will I need?
Most skin tags and small warts clear after one session. Larger or multiple lesions may need another treatment. The one-lesion price includes a follow-up treatment if needed.
What happens after treatment?
The area may be red, slightly swollen or form a blister while it heals. This usually settles within a few days to two weeks. Follow your aftercare advice, then book your free review within 4 weeks.
Is cryotherapy better than cutting a lesion off?
For suitable lesions, cryotherapy needs no cutting or stitches, so there’s a lower risk of scarring and infection than surgical removal, with less discomfort and downtime.
Is it suitable for everyone?
It isn’t recommended for people with certain skin conditions, sensitivity to cold, or health conditions that affect healing. A consultation always comes first. How consultations work.
