How it works

Three types of light, three jobs

Dermalux uses specific wavelengths of light. Each one reaches a different depth and does a different job, so your session can be tailored to your skin.

Collagen and fine lines

Stimulates collagen to soften fine lines and support firmer skin.

Breakouts

Targets acne-causing bacteria and calms inflammation.

Healing and strength

Reaches the deepest layers, helping skin heal and strengthen.

What it helps with

What Dermalux can help with

It can be used on its own or alongside other treatments. In fact, every facial at The Cosmetic Club finishes with Dermalux.

Acne

Blue light helps clear acne-causing bacteria and calm inflamed spots.

Rosacea and irritation

Helps reduce inflammation in sensitive, reactive skin.

Fine lines

Red light boosts collagen for smoother, firmer-looking skin.

Pigmentation

Supports a more even, radiant complexion over a course of sessions.

After other treatments

Supports healing after treatments such as peels and microneedling.

Dull, tired skin

Leaves skin looking healthier and more radiant, with no downtime.

FAQs

Dermalux questions, answered

Can’t see your question? Ask Anna at your appointment, or get in touch.

Is LED light therapy safe?

Yes, for most people. There’s no heat or UV, it doesn’t burn the skin and nothing breaks the skin. It suits all skin types, including sensitive skin. Some medications that make skin sensitive to light, and some health conditions, can make it unsuitable, so Anna checks first.

How many sessions will I need?

Many people notice a difference after one session, but the best results come from a course. On average, 8 to 12 sessions for a specific concern.

How often should I come?

Most people start with 2 to 3 sessions a week, then reduce how often as the skin improves.

How long is a session?

The light treatment itself is 30 minutes.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are minimal. Some people notice slight redness or a warm feeling in the treated area, which passes quickly.

Can Dermalux be combined with other treatments?

Yes. It combines well with treatments such as skin peels and microneedling, and it finishes every one of our medical-grade facials.
